We went in search of the most beautifull places in France, and we found one ! Proudly we invite you to :
Between the rivers and hillsides of central France you will find Chambres d'Hôtes
Ravière. Some two hours south of Paris or four (?) hours driving from
Calais you will reach a tiny community where we will welcome you in our vast
garden or at the fireplace in the warm livingroom. We can inform you about all
the posibilities in this part of the country, like daytrips and other activities.
Or would you just prefer to quitly read a book in the shade of the trees in
the orchard ? Relax and enjoy the way you like to. Remember you can always ask
us for ideas to spend your days. We like to help you to enjoy the area.
Let us spoil you with deliscious food and drinks. Local specialties from Burgundy
at breakfast, in your picknick basket and for diner, will give you the ultimate
vacation feeling. In the morning one of the chickens might stumble by the breakfast
table to see if you like her eggs or you might hear the cows in the valley.
A nice rural enviroment. If you own a horse, it is not a strange question if
you want to take him or her along. We can arrange a good place for the horse
to stay.
Stay for a week and do something else everyday... or nothing at all.
There is a lot to do in the region. If encountering the ‘house’-owl,
bats, deer and other animals are not enough for you, why not head out to Parc
Naturelle St Hubert. In about fifteen minutes by car you can get to Lac du Bourdon,
where you can participate in all kinds of watersports. There are several castles
in the region including Guèdelon where volunteers are rebuilding with
traditional craftmanship. Even if you set out on foot or bike or on horseback,
you will come through villiges where time stood still. What’s more french
than discovering the wine culture of the Burgundy. There is a trainstation nearby,
from where trains will take you to Paris for the day without the hassles of
parking. During the summermonths there are noumerous festivals organised in
the region. Or just enjoy the gardens, playing a game of jue-de-boules, reading
a book with a glass of wine, romanticly stare at the sunset or the stars at
night.
Heading south
When heading deeper into Europe why not breakup your journey and stay with us
for a day...or two. Start your trip at a relaxing pace, it is your holiday remember.
Next year you’ll want to stay longer. There is a lot to see and do in
the region and the central location in France makes it a good enroute stop.
